How will I pay for my procedure?

Depending on the type of procedure performed and type of insurance have, you may be able to use your insurance to pay for your procedure. Once your surgery is scheduled, our insurance coordinator will verify your benefits and let you know your payment details.

how do I know whether my insurance will cover the procedure?


Once your surgery is scheduled by your doctor's office, your insurance information is forwarded to us and verified by the insurance coordinator. Once the coordinator determines your benefits, she will discuss details with you.   


What part of my surgery fee will you collect? 


As a facility, we collect fees pertaining only to the facility and anesthesia portion of your bill. We do not collect physician fees. If you have questions regarding that portion of your payment, you will have to discuss it directly with your physician.  


Who do I contact in regards to my anesthesia bill?

Before I came to the center I paid my doctor, why am I still being charged?


As a facility we collect fees that are independent of your surgeon fees. When you visited your doctor you most likely paid your doctor's fee i.e. professional fee. What we collect is a facility and anesthesia portion of your procedure.   


I used my insurance to pay for the procedure, why am I getting a bill?


If you are getting a bill, it could mean that had a coinsurance or that your insurance did not cover the procedure. If you have a trouble understanding why are you getting a bill call at 630-449-0085. We are here to help.   

We automatically submit primary, secondary, and supplemental insurance claims for all facility fees, assuring you of optimal payment coverage. After we receive payment from the insurance company, any outstanding balances will be sent to your attention for payment.


If you do not have insurance coverage, or if certain procedures are not covered by your insurance plan, a member of our staff will contact you prior to surgery to discuss payment options that are available to you. FEES AND PAYMENTS 

KENDALL POINTE SURGERY CENTER's fees are based on the type and duration of surgery performed. Our fees cover the facility, routine surgical supplies, and nursing care. You are responsible for the facility fee and any additional testing or specialty items that were ordered by your physician.


Depending on insurance coverage, your doctor and the anesthesiologist will bill you separately for their services. Kendall Pointe Surgery Center has contracts with major HMOs and PPOs and participates in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Our staff is happy to help you with any insurance pre-certifications or authorizations that are now required by many insurance companies.
